Going that extra mile; or is it what you should expect of your Estate Agent?

Michaela and I have said from day one we want to offer more to our clients, and it is quite obvious all agents have the same strap lines when it comes to selling themselves, such as portal advertising, accompanied viewings and sales progression, but to us, these things are basic agency.

Selling your home, your most valuable asset, isn’t an off the cuff decision. There has been thought behind this move, whether it be upsizing, relocating, marriage (or divorce!) there is a reason why you are needing to sell your home, and everyone is looking to sell for the best price possible. And so it begs the question, why are you considering using a High Street Agent who wants to rush you to market, using iPhone ‘photography’ and a wasted opportunity ‘coming soon’ launch on Rightmove?

Yes of course, we could upload your property details overnight ready for tomorrow, but how much effort and thought has truly gone into it? Even if you were selling your car, you’d have it cleaned, take a few good quality photos and upload a detailed description - wouldn’t you expect a little more from someone paid to sell your home?

This is why we are reviewing each step of the property process and looking to offer something more

Starting right from the beginning, following our first visit to your home, we will put together some recommendations before we look to market your property. First impressions count and so this may include things like, areas that need a ‘touch up’ or a garden bush that needs a prune. We take this part of the process so seriously, we have both completed a course in ‘Staging and Styling in Interior Design’ and passed with distinction.

We all know the photos online are what initially pull that buyer in, so let’s take our time and work through each room, rearranging shelving, fluffing some cushions and dressing those dining tables, so we get it right, the first time round!

We’re hoping that by offering an additional extra to each stage of the property process (whether you are selling or renting) compared to our competitors, our existing and future clients, will learn to expect more from property professionals in general.

The property market all over the world is very different to here in England - everyone has seen Selling Sunsets right? The ‘American’ or ‘Australian’ model is certainly on its way over, and we are super excited to see the transition in Agency!
