Everyone has their own opinion of Estate Agents, but we want to change it!
We are speaking to a range of people on a daily basis and it always surprises me the reaction you get when you say you are an Estate Agent. Only the other day I was walking my dog Arlo and I was introduced to a Lady who asked me “What made you want to start up another estate agency when the town is already inundated with them?" I was shocked at first, but I then realised it's because everyone has the same opinion of us, agents.
"I have heard terms used such as pushy, dishonest and typical salesman. These are all things we whole-heartedly want to avoid." Michaela Sanders, Director.
I, of course explained to the lady that we really saw ourselves as more of a Property Professional. Someone who is there from day one, who can offer staging and styling advice, all the way through to helping you arrange your removals. It’s very easy to list how we are different, but it also comes down to the individual client and their needs.
Another conversation I recently had, a lady explained that the most stressful thing for her was the sales progression side and that when she marketed her property, her agent found her a buyer in record time, but almost wiped his hands of her once a deal had come together. My expectation of the basic customer service levels provided by any agent, would be to progress the sale once a buyer has been found? But apparently this is often not the case.
"And that’s the whole reason you hire a professional, isn’t it?"
